DMV Creates A New Business Division

DMV is pleased to announce that Anna Bishop has joined the company as General Manager of DMV T-Business, recently established as a specialist division focused on delivering Telstra products and services for the SME, Corporate and Government sectors.

“It is an exciting time here at DMV” said Managing Director Greg Fletcher-Harriss, “recent major wins for DMV and the company’s continued growth has seen the Board of Data Mobility Voice commit to the creation of 2 divisions within the business”.

DMV - Unified Communications and Collaboration Division continues to focus on recent growth areas, with the newly formed DMV T-Business Division looking to consolidate and grow its position as one of Adelaide’s premier Telstra Business Partners.

When looking for the right person to head up the division Greg explained that “we needed someone with significant industry experience and a passion for the leadership opportunity we had to offer, but the secret was finding someone that  really had the focus and desire to significantly grow the Telstra Business side of our company”.

Her extensive knowledge stems from spending 11 years in Telstra, first in T-Shops dealing with consumer customers and then as an Account Executive within the Telstra Business sector .  She wants DMV T-Business to be a single point of contact for all customers' business requirements.  When asked about the challenge of heading  up this newly created division of DMV Anna said “A business leadership role like this doesn’t present itself very often and I am really looking forward to the challenge and to driving significant growth in our sales of Telstra Business products and services including Mobility, Business Broadband and the newly released Digital Business product portfolio”.

The centralised Mitel IP Telephony solution to be implemented includes remote handsets across the Council WAN in other locations, a mix of cordless handsets, teleworkers and softphones which, when combined, truly maximizes the flexibility of use  for council staff to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency throughout the organisation.  In addition to this the implementation of the Mitel Contact Centre Software solution will not only deliver an increased level of statistical and customer service reporting but most importantly, deliver the highest level of services to Unley Council customers.

Virtualisation by Mitel and VMware - A Game Changer!

Many businesses both large and small have committed to a virtualization of their IT infrastructure by using VMware, and many others have this direction firmly in their IT planning for months and years to come.  The rationalisation of server infrastructure plus all the other benefits makes sense in so many business environments these days.

From a PBX and IP Telephony perspective - even though the deployment of IP Telephony into our customers data networks is now well over 75% of our business - there has been no tangible and deliverable strategy from IP Telephony vendors to be able to ‘go the next step’ and virtualize 100% of their PBX, IP telephony and unified communications infrastructure … until now !

Mitel and VMware have recently announced that core call processing infrastructure and unified communications applications can now be virtualized in a VMWare environment.
